Organizers of the inaugural Africa Digital Assets Summit (ADAS), first announced by ACI Africa in February, have described the April 29–30 gathering in Kenya’s capital city, Nairobi, as “a resounding success,” highlighting the keynote address of the Apostolic Nuncio in the East African nation, who warned that modern digital systems risk rendering the poor “invisible.”
In feedback shared with ACI Africa on Monday, May 11, ADAS co-convener Eddie Cullen said the summit’s organizers distributed copies of Pope Leo XIV’s first Apostolic Exhortation on love for the poor, Dilexi Te, to participants and expressed hope of expanding faith-driven technological initiatives across Africa.
“The event was a resounding success as we handed out copies of Dilexi Te to all attendees, and His Excellency Archbishop Bert Van Megen, the Papal Nuncio to Kenya, delivered an exceptional keynote address,” Cullen told ACI Africa.
