Questions & Answers
Clear answers for responsible participation
Start here for the practical distinctions between the current Solana whitelist, the published protocol architecture, CTK, staking, and future tokenized products.
What is Catholic Token™ (CTK)?
CTK is designed as a utility token for access, participation, payments, protocol services, and other functions within the Catholic Token™ ecosystem. It is not stock, equity, debt, or an ownership interest in a company or Catholic institution.
Which network does the current whitelist use?
The current whitelist accepts Solana wallet addresses for the active $0.15-per-CTK stage. The prior $0.009 stage is complete.
Why does the whitepaper mention XDC?
The published protocol paper describes XDC as the canonical protocol architecture, while the current owner-directed whitelist and sale workflow uses Solana addresses. These are stated separately until updated technical documentation confirms the final deployment architecture.
How is my Solana wallet verified?
The site asks your connected Solana wallet to sign a plain-text registration message. The server verifies that Ed25519 signature against the submitted address. This proves address control without submitting a token transaction.
What does joining the whitelist record?
It records your verified Solana wallet, timestamp, intended USD purchase amount, and contact details. It reserves a place in line and records purchase intent, not a guaranteed allocation. Final participation remains subject to sale terms, compliance checks, availability, and jurisdictional restrictions.
Does joining the whitelist cost gas?
No on-chain transaction is required to sign the verification message, so the whitelist signature itself should not incur a Solana network fee. A future token purchase or network action may require fees.
Is Catholic Token™ endorsed by the Vatican or the Catholic Church?
The project should not be understood as an official token of the Vatican, Holy See, or Catholic Church unless a specific institution provides written authorization. References to Catholic communities, institutions, or leaders do not by themselves imply endorsement.
How do real-world assets relate to CTK?
Future tokenized assets would use separate issuers, legal wrappers, diligence, custody, disclosures, and investor-eligibility controls. CTK is the ecosystem utility layer; holding CTK does not automatically grant ownership of an underlying property or product.
What is Catholic USD™?
Catholic USD™ is described as a separate stable settlement lane for payments and treasury activity. It is distinct from CTK, which is designed as the ecosystem's utility and access token. Availability and reserve details require the relevant product documentation.
What is Return on Token™?
RoT is a proposed measurement: total distributed protocol revenue divided by circulating token supply. It is a reporting framework, not a dividend, guaranteed yield, valuation promise, or expectation of profit.
Can I stake CTK today?
No staking interface is currently live on this website. The whitepaper describes a proposed validator model, but final node requirements, rewards, lockups, eligibility, and launch timing may change.
